A glimpse of the dashboard
One place for all of it
Money is one story. Most apps only tell half of it.
Kura keeps day-to-day spending and long-term holdings in the same view, so you can see what you actually have — not what one account happens to show.
Expenses that explain themselves
Log in seconds, categorise once, and let recurring costs fill themselves in. Every figure traces back to something you entered.
Investments, honestly measured
Track holdings across brokers, cash and crypto. See real return after contributions — not the flattering number.
Built for more than one currency
Hold, spend and invest in several currencies at once. Kura converts for the totals and keeps the originals intact.
Insight, not noise
Trends, run rate and category drift, surfaced when they mean something. No badges, no streaks, no nudges to spend.
Instant, everywhere
The app loads once and then moves without waiting. Works offline, syncs the moment you're back.
Fluent in your language
Five languages at launch, with dates, numbers and currency formatted the way your country actually writes them.
The part most apps skip
A ledger no one else gets to read.
Personal finance apps are one of the most revealing datasets a person can hand over. Kura is built to hold as little as possible, and to send it nowhere unless you connect something yourself.
No advertising, ever
Kura has no ad network, no ad SDK, and no plans for either. You are not the product being sold.
Your data is never sold or brokered
We do not sell, rent or share your financial records with anyone — no partners, no aggregators, no "anonymised" resale. Kura sends them to nobody.
Nothing leaves unless you say so
You can connect a script or an AI assistant through Kura's API. Nothing is connected by default, each connection states what it may reach, and you can end it whenever you like.
No third-party trackers
No Meta pixel, no advertising cookies, no session-replay tools recording what you type.
Your records are isolated
Access rules are enforced at the database, per account. One user's data is unreachable from another's session.
Export or erase, whenever
Take everything with you in an open format, or delete your account and its contents outright. No retention games.
We collect the minimum
An email address to sign you in, and the records you choose to enter. Nothing is harvested in the background.
Kura has no bank connections and never asks for your online banking password. Reading a statement happens in your browser — the file is never uploaded.
How it works
Three steps, then it stays out of your way.
- 1
Create your vault
An email and a password. No phone number, no ID, no invasive onboarding quiz.
- 2
Add what matters
Accounts, recurring bills, holdings. Start with this month and build from there.
- 3
Watch the picture form
Net worth, run rate and category trends update as you go. Check in weekly, not daily.
Questions
Things worth asking before you trust an app with this.
Is Kura free?
The core tracker — expenses, income, accounts and holdings — is free to use. Paid plans will cover heavier features like automated imports and multi-year reporting, and will never be funded by advertising.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No. Kura never connects to your bank and never asks for your banking password — everything is recorded by you. The one optional lookup outside the service is market prices for investments, which runs only when you press refresh and sends nothing but a ticker symbol.
Can I connect an AI assistant?
Yes, and only if you set it up. Kura has an API and an MCP connector, so an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT can answer questions about your records — but nothing is connected by default, you approve exactly what it may reach, and you can disconnect it at any time. Be clear about the trade: whatever you connect sends your records to whoever runs it, and Kura cannot see or retrieve what you send.
Where is my data stored?
In Google Cloud Firestore, encrypted at rest and in transit, with per-account access rules enforced by the database itself. Requests made with an API token are checked by our server instead, which works out which vault to read from the token rather than from anything the caller sends. The app is hosted on Vercel.
Can I get my data out?
Yes — a full export in an open, machine-readable format, at any time and without asking us. Deleting your account removes your records rather than archiving them.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Kura caches your data locally, so it opens and responds without a connection and syncs once you're back online. Signing out clears that local copy.
Which languages are supported?
English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese, with locale-correct number, date and currency formatting. More are straightforward to add.
Your finances deserve a quiet room.
